Mrs. Umuoffia holds a B.Sc degree in Business Education & Management,1986. She became an Associate Member , Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) in 1989 and a fellow of Public Administration and Management Development Institute , (fpam) in 2014.

She has been in a human resources practice for over two decades and served in various capacities in the Human Resources department of NNPC (Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation).
